Top notch class automobile, hand crafted Aston Martin DB11 photographs will only suitable if it’s photographed using the high quality photography tools.

So i bring PhaseOne IQ180, Nikon D850, and Broncolor Grafit with two pulso heads.

PhaseOne always bring totally awesome sharpness, wide range of real color tones,  good impression from client, and nice raw files that give me more flexibility in doing editing.
The Nikon D850 ( that was my first time using it ) is a really cool 135mm full frame DSLR. Maybe one of the best DSLR ever. Then, the Broncolor Lighting that always produce neutrality of colour, stability and flexibility in light power control. I own my Broncolor for 7 years, and it never gave me any technical trouble.

These Aston Martin shots was done in Aston Martin Jakarta showroom, the place size is not too big, have many big glass windows and low white ceiling. Considering several condition of this photoshoot, i’ve done my shots with light painting. Creating several photos part-by-parts and then combined it in Photoshop.

For the lighting setup,
I was using large pulsoflex softbox to create shapes ; and P70 to enhance color and sharpness. I lit the car with direct light to show metallic grain and bounce the light to show car’s rich artistic contours. To minimise unwanted reflection in car’s body, high speed sync from PhaseOne’s leaf shutter do the job well.I used pulsoflex softbox to create lines and create nice reflection on reflective-parts of the car.
Grafit’s power range from low to high power is really helpful in doing this light setup.

Camera setting for all these shots are :

PhaseOne IQ180 with Schneider-Kreuznach 80mm & Schneider-Kreuznach 120mm TS
ISO 50 – Shutter Speed 1/1000 – f. 11

Nikon D850 with Nikkor 105mm f.1.4
ISO 50 – Shutter Speed 1/125 – f. 8

All images are adjusted in CaptureOne 10 and Photoshop CC.

DB11 is really charismatic and gorgeous. Have a class of it’s own.
Hope the photographs are good enough to represent it’s awesomeness.

Thank you Aston Martin Jakarta
